Salvia x hybrida This perennial sage is evergreen in all but the coldest areas of Australia. In winter it produces bi-coloured flowers of purple and pale pink or white. With its up right growth and fresh green foliage, it provides texture and contrast in the garden. A very tough and fast growing plant, which prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil but will tolerate periods of dryness and light frost. Prune after flowering.
