This is simply the shutter of a roadside kiosk captured with a handheld compact camera. On a casual glance it appears that there are fewer and wider lanes below the horizontal bar than there are above it. In reality, it is just an optical illusion and both sides are exactly the same. I find that a lot of times we are looking at things with incomplete information and form opinions bases on a limited understanding of the subject. Politicians and the media have made an art form out of profiting from these tendencies. It is always worth asking oneself if we have seen and understood the complete picture before forming an opinion.
