The SAMEBIKE CY20-FT is a compact folding commuter e-bike built around the reality of city travel — fold it, carry it up a flight of stairs, put it in a car boot, take it on the train. The 6061 aluminium alloy folding frame collapses to roughly 845 × 530 × 690mm, small enough for a hallway cupboard or the back of a hatchback. A brushless rear hub motor in UK road-legal configuration provides assistance up to 25km/h, drawing on a removable 36V 12Ah lithium battery that charges in around 4–6 hours on or off the bike. Shimano 7-speed gearing, mechanical disc brakes front and rear, a suspension front fork and a shock-absorbing seatpost round out a bike designed for potholes and kerbs rather than mountainsides. Rated IP64 across the motor, battery and display. Genuinely portable — folds to approximately 845 × 530 × 690mm Removable battery — 36V 12Ah pack, 4–6 hour charge, charges away from the bike Comfort where it matters — suspension front fork plus seatpost shock absorption Reliable gearing — Shimano 7-speed with mechanical disc brakes front and rear Built for adults of most sizes — 150kg maximum load Specification Motor Brushless rear hub, 250W UK/EU road-legal configuration Battery 36V 12Ah removable lithium-ion Assisted top speed 25km/h (UK EAPC limit) Charging time 4–6 hours Brakes Mechanical disc, front and rear Gearing Shimano 7-speed Tyres 20" × 2.35" Suspension Front fork plus seatpost shock absorption Frame 6061 aluminium alloy, folding Folded size Approx. 845 × 530 × 690mm Maximum load 150kg Water resistance IP64 (motor, battery, display) Display LCD with speed, battery, distance and assist level Lighting Front and rear LED Specification sourced from SAMEBIKE's published data. UK Road Legality This model has a 250W motor with assistance limited to 25km/h (15.5mph), meeting the UK requirements for an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC). It can be ridden on public roads and cycle paths as a normal pedal cycle — no licence, tax, insurance or registration is required. Riders must be 14 or over. The bike must be ridden in its original, unmodified form. Removing the speed limiter or fitting a more powerful motor takes it outside EAPC rules. Any e-bike modified to exceed 250W or 25km/h is legally classed as a motor vehicle, and would then require type approval, registration, tax, insurance and a valid driving licence. It could no longer be used on cycle paths. Infinity Electric Bikes will not be held liable for any consequences resulting from modification of the bike or from use that does not comply with local regulations. We encourage all customers to familiarise themselves with and adhere to the specific regulations applicable to their region.
