Our Sameera Quilt is the picture of homespun beauty. Following in India’s rich textile heritage, this effortlessly chic layer comes to us from a small rural village near the city of Jaipur, where it was handcrafted from start to finish by a small cooperative of skilled local artisans. This work helps the members of these craft communities to preserve their culture’s time-honored practices while also earning a livable wage to support themselves and their families. Each hand-quilted blanket is made from two pieces of cotton muslin fabric, which were handwoven on traditional looms and expertly block-printed by hand to create one of two distinctive patterns — simple stripes or a bold floral motif. These two contrasting fabrics are then sewn together and stuffed with soft cotton batting, creating a gorgeous double-sided blanket. In a fresh palette of pale aqua, deep indigo, olive green and white, Sameera is sure to add a pop of color and global style wherever you put it, whether that’s draped over the back of a chair or layered with other pillows and blankets on the bed. •cotton•hand block-printed patterns •filled with natural cotton batting •reversible •fair trade •each is unique•handmade in india Dimensions:•105.5" x 112.5" Care:•gentle wash separately on cold with mild detergent •air dry •do not wring out or tumble dry•spot clean whenever possible
