The Sämling 88 Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA for short) Domkapitel is a serious and complex mouthful, and we’re not just talking about the pronunciation. Notes of orange oil, rosewater, honeyed lemon, apricot juice and almond greet you on the nose. Its one of those noses that you can keep coming back to and smell something different everytime. Once you do eventually taste you’ll be wowed by the absolute completeness of the wine. There is bitter orange at first, but this opens into lychee, mango, coconut, mushroom and fresh vanilla. It’s round and warming and so deliciously sweet but, as with all of Hans Tschida’s dessert wines, it’s so incredibly fresh.
