Achieved through a chemical treatment on solid brass, it creates a rich, deep tone that matures with handling and exposure. Each piece is waxed for protection, allowing the finish to develop naturally without the constraints of lacquer. Some new pieces can read with a slight grey tone which warms up quickly with handling as the finish begins to develop.As the finish wears, areas that are frequently touched reveal golden highlights, while untouched regions retain darker tones, resulting in a dynamic contrast that enhances the character of each piece.
