Argos Narcissus: Obsession in Bloom Extrait de Parfum is an intoxicating and hypnotic composition inspired by the tragic myth of Echo and Narcissus. This extrait concentration delivers a lush, narcotic, and deeply seductive interpretation of obsessive desire, unfulfilled longing, and beauty that consumes itself, forever entwined with fate. Inspired by the work of John William Waterhouse, the celebrated Pre-Raphaelite painter who immortalized the myth of Echo and Narcissus in his haunting 1903 masterpiece, this fragrance draws from the painting's exquisite tension between beauty and tragedy. Echo reclines in silent anguish while Narcissus bends entranced over his reflection, both caught in a moment of desire that can never be fulfilled. Narcissus: Obsession in Bloom brings this mythic tale to life. From the still waters of ancient Greece, the story unfolds as both longing and punishment. Echo, cursed by Hera to repeat only the words of others, withered in sorrow for her unrequited love. Narcissus, blinded by his own beauty, wasted away before his reflection until he became the flower that bears his name. Argos immortalizes this legend into fragrance: intoxicating, unforgettable, and forever entwined with desire and fate. The fragrance opens with the vivid spark of Raspberry, Tarragon, and Clove Buds, reflecting the initial allure that draws one into obsession. The heart reveals a narcotic floral symphony of Narcissus Absolute, Tuberose, Geranium, and Jasmine, lush, hypnotic, and perilous in its intensity. The base resonates with Vanilla, Ylang Ylang, Musk, and Mysore Sandalwood, lingering like Echo's fading voice and Narcissus's eternal reflection.
