We call this a sand candle, but it is actually wax! Creators will start with white wax and a photo, first dying the wax the shades needed in the image and then magically layering i t in the jar to create the picture. No experience necessary! This is an excellent project for team building and larger groups. Ages 12+ recommended, but can be modified for younger artists.
