The SandBell from HyperWear is the most versatile and functional free weight on the market today. It combines the best features of dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, slam balls and sand bag training all into one simple yet powerful weight training tool. Unlike traditional weight plates, the SandBell is a neoprene disc that once filled with sand (*sand not included ) will challenge your strength, test your stamina and push your limits like nothing else. SandBells deliver a dynamic workout. Use them to build core strength, lean muscle and explosive power throughout your entire body. You can drop them, throw them or slam them without fear of injury to your body. Use them in a variety of functional athletic movements in the gym, at home, or outdoors. Its versatility makes it ideal for many types of training from general strength and sports conditioning, to group fitness classes and boot camps. What really makes SandBells stand apart from other weight training eqipment is their ability to not only hit the targeted muscles groups but also challenge an individual's grip strength by engaging the hands, wrists, and forearms with every move. Also, once filled with sand, the dynamic shift and instability of the moving sand inside the SandBell will provide a unique training effect for your body's core muscles (low back and abdominals). Strengthening these muscles will improve your overall conditioning, stability and balance, making your everyday activities easier to perform. SandBells are extremely safe for all ages and surfaces. Made from soft yet exceptionally durable neoprene, the SandBell is tough enough to withstand any punishment you can throw at it. It can be used for both indoor and outdoor training. The HyperWear Sandbells come in 12 different weight sizes and can be purchased pre-filled with sand or completely empty. The current version shown above is the empty version, so you will need to provide your own sand. To fill up the sandbell disc simply pullout the fabric nozzle located inside the small opening at the bottom of the disc, remove the elastic band and fill it up with sand. Finally, place the elastic band back onto the fabric nozzle and re-insert into the disc. Please view the animated demo below to get a better understanding on how to fill up the Sandbell.
