The Sander table, from 2010 consists of a mouth-blown crystal cone paired with a hardened circular glass tabletop. Initially, the cone is a bottle, but the base is knocked off usin g a cold tool against the hot glass. The basic shape is denoted by three circles, and the magic is in a neck so narrow that it looks like it might fall right off. It does not, however, because the adhesive attaching the glass tabletop is cured with a UV light. This technology can only be used on glass and makes the joint stronger than the actual material.
