2025, Black stoneware and porcelain, woodfired, salt glazed, 25 x 8 cm, 34 x 8 cm (Sold as a pair) 'My life since 1980 has been centred on exploration of clay, materials, building kilns and firing with wood and glazing with salt. Wood firing and salt glazing provides an opportunity for the kiln to contribute to the creative dance between maker, material and process whilst offering a unique palette of colour and texture. I live in the bush about an hour and a half South West of Sydney. Here, the weathered landscape offers visual complexity that inspires and engages me. I make both tableware and sculptural forms. Each of these offers a particular avenue of expression and they complement each other within my practice.' Show more
