Most people who know Saperavi know it from Kakheti, where it is dark, powerful and full. This is a different story. At altitude in the mountains of Racha, the same grape becomes so mething fresher and more precise. Naberauli blends it with Dzelshavi, a grape grown almost nowhere else in the world, from the ancient village of Sadmeli where the family's roots go back generations. Twelve months in oak barrels give it warmth, depth and a coffee note that sits beautifully alongside the cherry and plum. Pour it into a glass and give it a few minutes before you drink it.
