Sarah Tandy is a unique voice in London's thriving jazz community, having earned a reputation as a formidable and dynamic performer. Her talents have made her one of the UK's most in-demand musicians, working with artists as diverse as Yazmin Lacey, Nubya Garcia, Yussef Dayes, Binker Golding, Jazz Jamaica, Femi Koleoso, Camilla George and Basement Jaxx. Originally classically trained as a pianist, Sarah released her debut album, Infection In The Sentence, on the Jazz Re:freshed label in 2019. Widely acclaimed, it earned her a nomination for Jazz FM Breakthrough Act of the Year, before she received the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Best Instrumentalist. During the touring hiatus in 2020, she turned her attention to music production and electronic music. This led to writing and production credits on Yazmin Lacey's Voice Notes, and ultimately to the creation of her new full-length album, Delicious Capricious. A freewheeling ride incorporating elements of psychedelic funk, hip-hop, deep groove, grime, trip-hop, soul and unmistakable London swagger, the album is united by a palpable love for the wildness and exuberance of jazz. It features guest performances from K.O.G., Kyra, Tee Peters and Akin Soul.
