As a response to a world that often downplays the vividness of individuality and expression, I use art as an external manifestation of the feeling you get when a good hair day comes around or a day where someone compliments your outfit. Whether I am working digitally or painting traditionally, I believe clear brush strokes and the suggestion of liveliness they bring is crucial to connecting with the viewer and suggesting that playfulness and humor can be found in freeze-frame moments everywhere. Even if not to conjure feeling of whimsicality or joy, the goal of my art is to make viewers curious about what I hoped to convey to them through a stylistic choice or otherwise.
