Oriental Sarcococca. A plant of outstanding qualities, this species has the largest leaves of the genus. Shiny, black-green leaves are almost large enough to make a textural statem ent in the shade garden. Probably the showiest Sarcococca in flower with the same apetalous white flowers as the genus, but larger than others, starting to flower here in December, followed by shiny black fruit.
