These five traditional sashiko patterns are printed on Japanese Tsumugi cotton fabric with wash out ink. They are ready to stitch as soon as you open the package, and when your sti tching in finished a short soak and rinse in warm water will wash the printed completely away. This is a good beginner kit, or a relaxing small take-along stitching project with everything you need except scissors (for travelling I just use my nail clippers to cut threads, no need to carry scissors! :-) Kit contains: English instructions for how to do the sashiko stitching Olympus white sashiko thread, 20 meter skein Olympus sashiko needle pack Five sashiko designs printed on Japanese tsumugi cotton fabric. Total cloth size is 6in x 26.5in, each design measures 4in x 4in. Cutting and seam seam allowances are marked for making five coasters or you could add border fabric strips to the whole stitched cloth and make a runner.
