Deluxe Sashiko Sleeveless Jacket Made in Japan Material: 100% Cotton (inside layer: 100% polyester). Color: black, navy Size: M, L, LL The Haori (羽織) is a traditional Japanese jacket that is usually worn over a Kimono. It exists in two main variants, with sleeves, and without sleeves. This model, less formal than the "mon tsuki" haori (the one with the family emblem) is not designed to be worn over a Kimono but over a Dogi. It's a great jacket to wear over a light Aikidogi or over our Waraku Iaidogi if you keep wearing your uniform off the mats. It is also a great combination to wear over a Samue, and especially our Waraku Samue and Sashiko Samue. Wearing a Haori over a Samue immediately gives a slightly more formal (and stylish) look if you have an interest in Japanese fashion. It features two outside pockets on the left and right front, very useful if you need to carry out your wallet and phone around as Dogi don't have pockets. This jacket is made by the same workshop as our Sashiko samue, fully handmade in Japan, with a Sashiko weaving that is slightly thicker than the usual single weave Sashiko. The outside is traditional Sashiko woven in Japan, the inside layer is made of polyester for better heat retention. It is available in dark Navy and Black, and in sizes M, L and LL. Please be careful, Sashiko shrinks a lot, so if you're close to the upper size, we recommend choosing the upper size. Hand wash or machine wash in a net is recommended. Coldwater.
