Sashiko stencil for decorative stitching. Use this stencil to make 4" coaster, or mending patches. The stencil has holes in the corners so you can easily mark the fabric in order to line up repeats accurately. This makes a very nice easy to stitch border design. As with many sashiko designs, it is possible to use only parts of the design to create more designs. In the photos here I have shown 'stars' made using only the centre lines. About the Stencil: Size: 6" x 4 3/4" Stencil thickness is 0.2mm. Flower sizes: 3 1/4", 2 1/4, and 1 1/4" The stencil is made of a composite fibre that is strong, washable, bendable, & not easy to tear (I tried, it doesn't tear although it is thin and has a 'paper-y fibre' feel). You can use almost any transfer pen or pencil with these, unlike the thicker acrylic plastic stencils which need a long thin tip to reach the fabric. Easy to store, space saving, and not breakable.
