Step into the world of traditional silversmithing and experience the magic of sand casting. In this private workshop, you’ll learn how to transform simple shapes and textures into stunning jewellery using molten sterling silver or gold. Sand casting is an ancient technique that uses a fine, clay-like sand to capture every detail of your design. Everyday items like wax, wood, or even small found objects can be pressed into the sand to form a mould, before being cast into metal. It’s a quick, exciting, and rewarding process that allows for endless creativity. By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with a bespoke sterling ring or pendant, ready to wear and show off. No two pieces are ever the same, making your jewellery truly unique. Feel free to bring your own carved wax, stones, metal models, or non-precious items (such as a shell).
