A unique hand-built vase inspired by planets' satellites. The piece is built entirely by hand with a grey stoneware clay. Once it survived the first firing at 960C, I glazed with m y lava glaze. Another two days in the kiln, reaching 1240C, and the minerals in the glaze melted and fused with the clay to create this unique beauty. The vase is functional and measures 21 cm in height and around 14cm at widest point All the glazes are formulated and made by me.
