In antiquity, rubies were associated with protection and were believed to guard the wearer from harm. Here, two 22k gold granules orbit this dark ruby cabochon-cut stone like satel lites in the night sky. The modern word satellite is derived from the Etruscan word satnal, meaning escort or guardian. Ruby cabochon bezel-set by hand in 22k gold on a 20k gold band. Size 6. Part of a small series and ready to ship. Other sizes and gemstones available upon request.
