Raised on a short pedestal base, the Saucer cradles both cup sizes, small and large; it fits well in hand, and is easily lifted. Features: High-fire stoneware, fully vitrified, chip-resistant, made to last. Microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. While there is a drive towards uniformity and consistency in making these pieces, they are all hand-made, introducing slight differences and variations in their finish, color, and shading; no two pieces are exactly alike, each is ultimately unique. Basic Dimensions and Weight: 5-7/8" Diameter, 1-1/2" Height, 5/8 lbs. Functional Fittings: The Large Cup and Small Cup pair with the Saucer. The Cup and Saucer pairing also allows for stable stacking. The Saucer, flipped over, serves as a lid for both the Cereal Bowl and the Side Dish. Additionally, the Saucer also functions as a trivet/pedestal for all the pieces in the collection (with the Pasta Bowl, the Saucer must be flipped over to function as a trivet).
