The Firetec™ Saver Saw is the fastest and easiest way to remove a windshield at a motor vehicle accident. The Firetec™ Saver Saw is the original windshield glass cutter, designed and manufactured by FireQuipsince 1996. Features: The 1" frame makes the Saver Saw easy to hold onto. A complete cut on a windscreen takes about 40 seconds making the Saver Saw a fast and easy tool to use. The teeth on the blade of the saw face outwards, pulling the glass out of the vehicle for increased patient safety. The powder-coated frame is 10 times strong than painting and gives the saw a longer life. The Saver Saw entry point can be used as a toughened glass punch and a laminated entry point. The 6TPI blade is standard on the saw. It cuts a slot through the glass without pulling large fragments of glass out of the windscreen. The blade is specially manufactured for the saw. High-speed steel with a modified tooth form, and tooth set, give the teeth extra strength. The blade is hardened, then tempered back to retain its hardness and greatly increase toughness. The handles top and bottom ensure that every cut is progressive. The blades are steam tempered to lessen cutting friction. All components are laser cut for accuracy and uniformity. The blade folds up making for easier storage on the appliance.
