I have used a ton of rigs and never seen that done before and that was AWESOME. I could walk casually and be comfortable and stay tight. And, when I'm running and breathing heavy I can still breathe. That was the problem with other systems which are straight nylon straps that jack you up. This is the greatest thing ever. It’s so awesome! The pouches aren’t "mollyed" on: they're integral to this system. This makes it less modular but you’re not sacrificing equipment coming out from centerline of the body. When pockets aren’t tight to the body and just mollyed on, you get tired quicker and its flops around more. This is NOT a problem with the SAW rig. The SAW rig mag pockets are awesome. In general, to be able to switch the types of magazines is awesome. With our standard issued military mag pouches, you can’t do that. Numerous times, that tie down retention tab has been used to get items I put in deep in the pocket.
