In 1906, young Lebanese immigrant Joseph Sayklly opened a grocery store with his wife Mary, and their nine children. Their shop soon became a local attraction for its sweet treats and hand-cranked ice cream. Passed down three generations to granddaughter Debbie Kirby, their shop in Escanaba, Michigan has been joined by two more storefronts.
