A distinguishable Dacron cuff enhances realism, and the distal catheter end connects to a blood reservoir bag to simulate clinical procedures.An implanted vascular access device (IVAD) is located in the left chest beneath a specially formulated tissue flap designed to simulate human tissue. The port sits over a rigid underlying surface with molded ribs and a recessed area for interchangeable inserts that allow instructors to simulate different access challenges, including normal placement, tipping, wandering, or deeply placed ports.The trainer also includes a rotated, extended, detachable right arm featuring a dual-lumen 5FR PICC line exiting the basilic vein and a pre-positioned 20G IV catheter in the forearm.
