The SC-32 Training Draw Gag is one of those bits made for the work between runs. As you pick up the reins, the draw action applies pressure through the mouthpiece while the draw headstall applies pressure over the poll. Those two pressure points encourage the horse to give through the poll, flex vertically, soften to your hands, and come back into a more collected frame. For a barrel horse, it’s a useful schooling tool for one that gets strung out, stiff, heavy in your hands, or needs a reminder to stay soft and responsive. It can also help you regain control of the forward motion without having to constantly pull or hold one together. When the horse gives, and you release your hands, the draw action releases with you, helping reinforce the response you’re asking for. Best ForYoung or seasoned horses that need help with vertical flexion, softness, collection, and responding to rein pressure. FeelProgressive and collected. Mouth and poll pressure work together to encourage the horse to give, flex and come back underneath itself. Rider NoteA great tuning bit for one that gets heavy, stiff or strung out. Use it to reinforce softness and collection, then reward the horse by releasing when they give. Build InfoTraining draw gag available with multiple mouthpiece options.
