The Tasman Salt 2 is a compact lockback folder built for corrosive environments, pairing a 2.75" H2 steel hawkbill blade with a textured black FRN handle that resists salt spray an d daily wear. The hawkbill geometry excels at slicing and detail work, while H2 stainless outperforms standard stainless in edge retention and corrosion resistance. At 4.25" closed, it fits easily in a pocket or pack, and the thumb pull deployment makes one-handed opening reliable. This is the choice for coastal use, fishing, sailing, or anyone working in harsh conditions where standard stainless compromises too quickly.
