REGISTRATION & SCARECROW KIT: €15 EVENT DESCRIPTION Enter our scarecrow contest: let your imagination take flight! Whether you’re entering as a family, a group of friends, or even as a solo artist, this is your chance to create a masterpiece that’s artistic, scary, or downright surprising. Following good agricultural tradition, your scarecrow should be created around a wooden stake and be stuffed with plenty of straw. To enter, purchase your scarecrow starter kits (a wooden base and straw) at our Farm Shop for €15 from Wednesday 23rd of September and return your creation by 5pm on Friday 23rd of October. Winners will win either a Killruddery Gold Finch Membership or Killruddery Seasonal Breakfast Hamper to enjoy over Samhain. This year’s judges include Fionnuala Brabazon (CEO & Creative Director of Killruddery), Farmer Tom Jenkinson and David Fortune (Me + The Moon) who will be judging with three categories in mind – Most Imaginative, Scariest and Best Made. Scarecrows will be left on display until the 28th October, and participants may take their scarecrow home between 9:30 - 17.00 from the 27th October to 3rd November to decorate their homes.
