The Sceptre’s origins lie in research into nuclear submarines and the shadow of the Cold War - one of our earliest designs was even called “October.” So when it came to reimagining the Sceptre for the S2 series, Gordon found inspiration in a different kind of retrofuturism: an atompunk world drawn from a cult-classic game and its TV adaptation. This striking colourway pays homage to the utilitarian overalls worn by those who sought refuge in the Vaults - nuclear shelters built to protect humanity after the Great War of 2077. The dial is a faded navy blue, its radiating textural lines leading to a raised, darker blue chapter ring printed with golden yellow and crisp white markings. Polished appliqué echo the unmistakable form of radiation symbols, while the outward bezel is drenched in a full golden-yellow paint fill. Bold, evocative, and otherworldly - this is a colourway that feels like it belongs to a future imagined in the past.
