The footman is the rod that transfers motion from the treadle to the drive-wheel crank. The footman kit replaces the complete assembly, including the connection hardware. This kit includes one wood and leather footman plus hardware to attach to treadle and crank. Matchless double treadle wheels require two footmen. Single treadle wheels require one footman.If you have an old single treadle Matchless, please contact us about replacement parts.
