Schaller invented the strap-lock in 1980 with the original Security Lock, the first patented system to stop a strap slipping off a guitar mid-song. The S-Lock is Schaller's modern, slimmer alternative: a smaller footprint on the instrument, no side-release pin sticking out from the strap end, and a look that sits close to a traditional strap button when viewed from the audience. The mechanism is a two-part fit. A shallow lock socket, machined into the strap button that replaces the factory button on the guitar, receives a threaded lock wheel fitted to the strap. Pushing the strap end onto the button seats the wheel into the socket, and a short turn locks it in place. There is no spring-loaded release to wear out and no protruding pin to snag on cables or a wireless pack. The satin chrome finish is a soft, low-gloss silver, pitched at instruments with brushed nickel or satin chrome tuners and bridge hardware. For a full guitar or bass setup you will want one S-Lock at each strap end. Fits any instrument that takes a standard strap-button screw; the mounting screw is included. Spare lock wheels and spare screws in the same finish are stocked separately for repairs and refits.Genuine Schaller hardware.
