Schefflera actinophylla 'Alpine', or 'Alpine Junior', is an umbrella tree that can make an impressive statement. Its leaves are glossy green and palmately compound, forming what ap pears to be open hands with spread fingers. The trunk will turn woody over time and the 'Alipine' stays a little more compact and shorter than the 'Amate' normally topping out at 6' tall indoors.
