A 20th century German crossing created by Georg Scheu, Scheurebe is capable of producing opulent forest fruit flavors of blackcurrants, which can sometimes be complemented with gra pefruit and citrus aromas. Originally thought to have been a crossing of Riesling and Silvaner, recent DNA profiling suggests the second parent is not Silvaner but an unknown wild vine. Show more
