The Fire Salamander looks beautiful with its patterned black and yellow shiny skin. Sitting on a mossy stone, it is quite easy to spot, especially since it is pretty large for an a mphibian. Its bright body colour protects it from predators. They may admire its beauty, but it doesn't look good enough to eat. 9.9 x 6.6 x 2.5 cm (3.9 x 2.6 x 1 inches).
