The Schleich figurines are exceptionally detailed, lovingly painted and allow children to play and learn at the same time. The Pteranodon was one of the largest pterosaurs in the C retaceous period. The striking bony crest on the rear of its head provided a counterweight to its long beak. It probably didn't flap its wings very often, but instead took advantage of the wind to glide through the air - similar to an albatross. Show more
