Turkeys are part of the pheasant family and are originally from North America. The male birds have black plumage with individual metallic shimmering colourful feathers. The head an d neck are featherless and coloured bright red and light blue. When male turkeys compete for females during mating season they spread their tail feathers out like a fan, as shown by the turkey from the Schleich Farm World.
