The American wolf is beautiful with its grey top coat and light fur on its belly and legs. His coat is a little thicker around his neck, almost like a mane. This protects it in bat tle from enemies that want to bite. However, he is usually travelling in a pack anyway, which is the best protection. The American wolf lifts its nose into the wind and attentively pricks up its pointed ears. Did he smell something? He calls the pack together with a howl – it's hunting time!
