It’s actually one of my cat’s top 3 favorite stones, too. He loves how calming it is. He just melts when I wand scolecite over him or gently pass it over his fur. Scolecite is powerful for soothing the mind and the emotions. It is a quintessential nervous system stone and gently pacifies the organs and builds yin, which is our ability to deeply rest and be still. It is placed well over yin tang (the third eye) to calm the mind and is also placed well over pericardium 6 or placed in the palms to calm the shen. It is also a top neurological stone, great for tremors or involuntary movements, headaches, poor memory or an overactive mind. Scolecite is perfect for pets, kids and adults and is a must-have in the treatment room for healers. Because this is nature, no two minerals will be the same.
