Their fit is sensitive to the overall volume and shape of the hoof which may not be fully reflected in measurements from the bottom of the hoof. We recommend ordering 3 Sizing Shells but you may choose additional shells if necessary to get the correct fit. Measuring your horse right after a trim helps to select the shell size closest to their measurement. we recommend as well, to order at least one size up and at least one size down.
