Film scores all sound the same now; generic and forgettable. In this class I’m going to teach you how to choose a unique harmonic language and instrumentation for your scores so yo u can stand out from the crowd. We’ll cover every major genre. Next, we’ll address another devolution in film scoring – cues constantly having to start and stop. This is due to the ideas/motifs being weak and composers having no idea how to extend and develop a cue across multiple shots – especially in scenes where the action and locations change frequently.
