Scourge mines are among the most hated things the vile enemy has built. No space traversed by the aliens can ever be considered truly safe due to their unconstrained deployment. Sc ourge mines are even harder than human equivalents to detect due to their low-emittance hulls, passive stealth systems, and active evasion technologies. Even years after a system is ‘secured’, civilian ships are routinely lost to roving mines. In battle, these horrors are deployed in tight formations, increasing their effectiveness against the largest warships.
