A reflective, chrome-like sculpture explores the tension between control and surrender as its surface folds into an organic form. Light moves across it in constant flux, catching, bending, and distorting as the piece shifts with the viewer’s perspective. Mounted against a neutral background, it appears to lift away from the surface, suspended between sculpture and relief, stillness and motion. Part of artist Gbemi Adesanya's series of thermoformed wall sculptures, the artwork explores light as both material and meaning. Each piece is shaped from plexiglass and mounted on wood panels.
