Detailed capture. Natural response. The sE Electronics SE7 is a compact side-address condenser microphone designed to capture instruments with clarity and precision across a wide frequency range. It is especially well suited for acoustic instruments and environments where detail, balance, and accurate tone are important. In many setups, multiple microphones are used—one for each instrument or sound source—to create a more complete and immersive sound field. Each microphone connects to a mixer using an XLR cable (sold separately). Recommended Applications Acoustic guitar Choir and voice groups Strings and orchestral instruments Piano Woodwinds Drums and percussion Cymbals / overhead miking Sound & Design The SE7 features a side-address capsule, allowing for easier placement in tighter or more precise positions. Its acoustic design supports a clear and natural sound across both low and high frequencies, helping to capture the full character of each instrument. Built with discrete Class-A circuitry and a transformerless output, it delivers a clean signal with low noise and strong detail. Control & Flexibility Switchable -20 dB pad for handling louder sound sources High SPL handling for drums, percussion, and dynamic instruments Switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter to reduce unwanted low-frequency noise Ultra low-noise components for cleaner recordings These features allow you to adapt the microphone to a wide range of instruments and environments. Working with Multiple Microphones Using multiple microphones allows you to capture different elements of sound more clearly. Rather than relying on a single source, each microphone can focus on a specific instrument or area, helping create a more balanced and immersive overall sound.
