The Swallows is a Seg De Paris printed needlepoint canvas showing four swallows lined up on a wire, wings and tail feathers poised mid-perch, with a stone cottage and a garden of r ed poppies unfolding beneath a bright cloud-filled sky. The print sets the birds' glossy black-and-white plumage against warm summer greens and cheerful floral accents. Why this canvas: the four birds share a repeated silhouette that makes the stitching sequence easy to follow once the first is complete; the cottage garden below adds color and detail without competing with the birds for attention; the sky-and-wire composition suits fans of classic countryside bird subjects. Canvas includes: a genuine Zweigart 10ct cotton canvas (40 holes/10 cm), 100 percent cotton, with the half cross stitch design printed directly on the surface, plus a complete color reference list covering all four required DMC thread types: Mouliné, Colbert Wool, Retors Cotton, and Pearl Cotton. Thread, needle, and any finishing or framing materials are not included and must be purchased separately. Because the canvas already carries the printed design in place of a blank grid, each stitch is a straightforward diagonal half-cross worked over one printed square at a time, with the enclosed DMC thread list guiding the stitcher to the correct shade for every printed color. Finished at 40 x 50 cm (15.75 x 19.69 in), this canvas suits a framed picture or cushion front for a cottage-style living room, sunroom, or kitchen where a bird-and-garden motif feels at home.
