The ideal water pH for Axolotls is 7.4-7.6. Seachem Axolotl Buffer™ adjusts pH to 7.4–7.6 from either a low or high pH. It softens water by precipitating calcium and magnesium. Saf e and effective for use with all Axolotls. Use Axolotl Conditioner™ for removal of chlorine and chloramine and detoxifying ammonia.
