Seachem Prime - 100 mL Seachem Prime - 100 mL is a concentrated aquarium water conditioner for freshwater and saltwater systems, removing chlorine and chloramine while detoxifying ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Seachem Prime for Freshwater and Saltwater Conditioning Prime is designed for use when setting up a new aquarium, adding replacement water, performing water changes, transporting fish, or reducing ammonia and nitrite toxicity during cycling. It is non-acidic, will not impact pH, and will not over-activate protein skimmers. Prime Water Conditioner Benefits for Aquariums Removes chlorine and chloramine from tap water. Detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Can be used during tank cycling to help reduce ammonia and nitrite toxicity. Detoxifies heavy metals found in tap water at typical concentration levels. Highly concentrated formula treats a large volume from a small bottle. Seachem Prime Tap Water Treatment Details Product type: Complete aquarium water conditioner Primary use: Tap water conditioning and toxin detoxification Suitable systems: Freshwater and saltwater aquariums Standard dose: 5 ml per 200 L (50 US gallons) of new water Small-dose reference: Each cap thread is approximately 1 ml Package size: 100 ml Directions for Seachem Prime Use 1 capful or 5 ml for each 200 L (50 US gallons) of new water. For smaller volumes, each cap thread is approximately 1 ml. Prime may be added directly to the aquarium, but it is better to add it to new water first. If adding directly to the aquarium, dose based on total aquarium volume. A sulfur odor is normal. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times the normal dose may be used. If temperature is above 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.
