It is non-acidic, will not impact pH, and will not over-activate protein skimmers in marine aquariums. For smaller volumes, each cap thread is approximately 1 ml. Prime may be added directly to the aquarium, but it is better to add it to new water first. If adding directly to the aquarium, dose based on total aquarium volume. A sulfur odor is normal. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times the normal dose may be used. If temperature is above 30°C (86°F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.
