The Seagull Nebula, (IC-2177) is about 3600 light years distant, and mostly known for the region near the "head" of the seagull, but for this photo, I have included more of the "wi ngs" and "body". I took this photo just north of Alamagordo, New Mexico on January 11th, 2026. Show more
