The Seccorell painting technique forms a bridge between the watercolour and pastel techniques and requires neither water nor fixative. Includes 8 colour sticks, a Rubbing Block and a Cleaning brush. With these "tools" and your own fingers you can create pictures, texts and much more. The paint sticks consist of bound mineral pigments, which are offered in rod form. They are harmless to health (analysis available). On the rubbing block the pigment is rubbed off over the painting ground in the desired quantity. Each side of the rubbing block remains assigned to a specific colour tone. The Brush serves to remove the still adhering pigment directly after rubbing the paint stick from the rubbing block to brush off.TIP: This process is important, as otherwise the pigment could fall off later on at an undesired place and change the picture by slight vibration.IMPORTANT: The brush is only a cleaning tool and NOT a paint brush! With the fingers or the ball of the thumb, the pigment is worked into the painting ground in fine circular or wiping movements. It is also possible to wipe or dab with a cotton pad, handkerchief or similar.TIP: For "sky", for example, the powder is blurred in a circular motion, for "meadow" perhaps in an up and down movement, and so on - characteristic structures are already created during painting. With the basic colours Red, yellow and blue, many mixed tones can be produced: e.g. all rainbow colours (Goethe's colour circle) as well as brown and grey. With Seccorell Junior you get a sorting of these three colours, each in light and dark. For reasons of finer nuances, green is added to the three basic colours in the other boxes. A palette of 24 colours is available with the Seccorell large box. NOTE: The hangtags on the Seccorell paintboxes provide information and assistance on mixing colours. A large colour mixing card (DIN A 5) is also available for this purpose. Rub the paint sticks directly over the painting ground on the rubbing block; brush out any paint powder residues with the brush; smudge with your fingers and work in well; for high smudge resistance, additionally polish with a cotton wool pad or similar: the very delicate to intensive coloured areas become smudge-proof like coloured pencil pictures! For contours use sticks like coloured pencils or draw with an eraser ; moist cosmetic tissues (drugstore) are suitable to clean the fingers in between.
